We have started beer production again in North Curry after an absence in the village of over 100 years.
Although we are a micro-brewery, we hope to be able to bring out different styles of beer throughout the year.
Our brewery is situated some 100 metres from the original brewery in Church Road, in the Old Coach House, behind Gwyon House, which dates from the early 14th century.
About the Brewery
We set up the Brewery in the summer of 2006 having previously worked in various other industries.
Set up as a microbrewery we have steadily expanded the amount of beer we produce and the levels of equipment and expertise used.
The brewery is located in a set of lovely period barns at the back of a victorian house. The buildings have all of the original features left in from when they used to be stables.
Feel free to pop in and we will happily take you around the Brewery, showing you the ancient methods of brewing that have remained the same for hundreds of years.
At your next party or barbeque, you don't have to put up with fizzy, mass-produced canned beers. You can enjoy the fresh, hoppy aroma and full, malty body of our hand-crafted cask ales. All North Curry ales are produced by traditional methods and are brewed using only the four essential ingredients of top-quality English malt, predominantly English hops, water and yeast. The absence of artificial additives means there is less risk of a nasty hangover!!
Why settle for anything less than REAL ALE, when you can purchase North Curry beer in 500ml bottles or quantities of 10 litres (approximately 18 pints), 20 litres (approximately 36 pints) or 9 gallon firkins (approximately 72 pints).
