Toasting Success for the North Curry Brewery.

MICRO brewery near Taunton is toasting its sales figures despite the recent recession.
Bosses at North Curry Brewery, now in their fourth year of trading, say they are 'recession-resilient' and have bucked the downward trend of the larger, global brewers to double sales year on year.
Brewer Peter Pike said: "We sell our beers at the weekly farmers' markets in Taunton and Minehead and it's stocked in lots of small, local shops. Our thanks go to all our customers who give us plenty of encouragement and feedback about our ales."
The business is a family affair with brother-in-law Pete Bennett on the brewing team and son Henry producing the marketing materials.
North Curry Brewery's success was achieved despite the recession and a 20% increase in beer duty over the past two years.
Mr Pike added: "Local brewers are also advocates for sustainable development, employing 'green' technologies and reducing food miles. We urge whoever is elected as MP for Taunton in May to show their support for local brewing and ensure that this young and thriving industry is encouraged to succeed."
